Donald Saff is an artist, printmaker, educator and arts entrepreneur who has been a major force in the American prints and multiple movement since the 1960s.
As art professor and chairman of the USF Art Department, Saff founded Graphicstudio / The Institute for Research in Art in 1968 on the campus of the University of South Florida in Tampa. As an active and involved artist in New York, Saff made many friends and contacts, and he was able to draw upon these and the talent at the university to quickly establish Graphicstudio as one of the most important printmaking ateliers in the country.
Untitled is a six color lithograph printed on two sheets of paper joined together. Saff used a bit of paper engineering to create windows on the top sheet, which reveal images on the bottom sheet.
