UNDERGRADUATE INTERNSHIPS

The IRA is pleased to accept a limited number of students to intern each semester at the Contemporary Art Museum (CAM) and Graphicstudio (GS). Internships are competitive.

USF School of Art and Art History students who are fulfilling their extended studies requirement for graduation are given priority. Students should contact their academic advisor regarding their individual requirements.

The USF Institute for Research in Art receives only partial support for its programs through the University of South Florida, College of The Arts. The dedication and generosity of our members, in partnership with the University, enables the Institute for Research in Art to remain a leading arts organization in Florida that will continue to initiate first-rate research, exhibitions and projects involving artists from around the world, and contribute to the cultural vitality of the University and the Tampa Bay community.

The USF Institute for Research in Art is the umbrella organization for the Contemporary Art Museum, Graphicstudio and Public Art program. Part of the University of South Florida College of The Arts, the IRA is dedicated to an international artists’ residency program that brings to the University and Tampa Bay community today’s most accomplished and influential artists working in the international art arena. Exhibitions, collection development, publication of limited edition graphics and sculpture multiples, commissioned public art works, lectures, symposia, workshops and special events are designed to foster awareness about the role of contemporary artists in shaping our culture and society. Participating artists represent the full and diverse spectrum of contemporary art practice including, but not limited to, painting, sculpture, photography, electronic media, and performance.

• Invitations to all CAM exhibitions, Graphicstudio and Public Art events
• Annual IRA Calendar of Events

Plus USF Faculty/Students/Staff with current USF ID receive:
• 10% discount on publications in the CAM museum store

USFCAM Director's Circle
Director’s Circle $1000 (dual) members receive:
• Invitations to preview guided tours of exhibitions with artists and curators at CAM
• Complimentary copy of all catalogues published by CAM & GS
• Invitation to the GS Benefit Sale Preview
• Invitation to Preview and VIP receptions
• Membership in the USF President’s Council
• Complimentary invitations to Collectors Series Events and other programs
• Opportunity to participate in guided trips to international art centers

USFCAM Corporate Partnership Program
Corporate members of the USF Contemporary Art Museum are eligible to participate in our Corporate Art Bank Loan Program. Selected works from the University of South Florida art collection or exhibitions curated for other venues are made available to corporate partners on long-term loan for exhibition.

Graphicstudio Subscription Program
Graphicstudio, the University of South Florida's renowned art workshop, offers a Subscription Program to Patrons who wish to acquire distinctive impressions of contemporary print and sculpture multiples for their collections, by internationally leading contemporary artists, at excellent values.

The Subscription Program requires a $7,000 initial membership fee for each period, which is generally one year. During the subscription period, six offerings of artworks will be made available for purchase at $500 each (plus tax if applicable). Graphicstudio subscriptions may be shared by two parties; both will receive Graphicstudio privileges. The initial fee ($7,000) plus the cost of the six projects ($3,000) brings the total to $10,000 plus tax (if applicable) to fully participate in the Graphicstudio Subscription Program.
